Guru Nanak College of Education and Research celebrated the festival of “Makar Sankranti” and other harvest festivals of India virtually on 15th January, 2021. These festivals are celebrated across the whole country on 14th January every year. It marks the celebration of a fertile land, prays for a good and productive year and a prosperous year. As India is multi-linguistic country, this festival is celebrated in various forms in different states, namely as Pongal, Bihu, etc. Hence, the team members celebrated this festival virtually by marking importance of the day and letting everyone known in different forms the festival is celebrated.
