Lohri is a popular festival celebrated in the Northern regions of India. It marks the end of the winter solstice and the beginning of longer days. On this day, people light bonfires, sing and dance around them, and offer sweets and savories to the fire. Lohri is celebrated with great enthusiasm across India.
On 31st January our college – Guru Nanak College of Education and Research celebrated Lohri with great enthusiasm and joy. The celebration started after lunch and all the students and the faculty gathered in the hall.
