Guru Nanak College of Education and Research organised 4days guest lectures for FY B.Ed & SY B.Ed on Child Rights

Session I – Dated 18.11.2017 Time: 13:45 Hrs
Ms. Chandru, started the four days lecture series on Child Rights by conducting test and activity based on Child Rights. She explained about rights which the child inherits from birth. She made students watch an animated video on Children’s Rights. She distributed bookmarks and reading material on some well known myths associated with children.
Session II – Dated 20.11.2017 Time: 13:45 Hrs
On the second day Ms. Chandru distributed pamphlets on Articles of the Children’s Rights- “A Summary of THE U.N. CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD” and she showed some videos to explain some of the Articles.
Session III – Dated 21.11.2017 Time: 13:45 Hrs
On the third day Ms. Chandru held discussion on the Articles related to Child Rights along with some video watching. Students actively participated in the discussion.
Session IV – Dated 27.11.2017 Time: 13:45 Hrs
On the fourth day she continued with the discussion on Articles and conducted activities related to Violation of Child Rights and concluded her lecture series by summarizing about the four days of discussions. She distributed a book and a pen to every student.
The Guests lectures on THE U.N. CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD” ARTICLE 1 TO 54, were very informative. Every Article of the Constitution dedicated to Child Rights was explained clearly along with videos, in a very simple manner and helped in creating awareness.
