Teacher’s day is celebrated all across the India every year on 5th of September to pay tribute to the teachers for their invaluable contributions towards the society and country. 5th of September is the birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, a Man highly devoted towards education. He was the President of India, Scholar, Diplomat, and most importantly a Great Teacher. After his selection as the President of India in 1962, he was asked permission to celebrate his birthday on 5th of September. He said, instead of celebrating 5th of September as birthday, it would be better appreciated if the Day was dedicated to all the Teachers of the country. Thus 5th of September came to be celebrated as Teacher’s Day all over India in honor of the teaching profession.
