On the occasion of Dusshera and Diwali, B.Ed. Internship Group Number 5, organized a virtual Dusshera and Diwali Celebration at Guru Nanak College of Education and Research Bhandup (W) on 22nd October, 2021.
Due to the ongoing pandemic situation, the celebration was conducted virtually through zoomplatform. As it was an online celebration e-cards were distributed to everyone. It started around 11a.m. and ended by 11:45 a.m. in the presence of I/C Principal, all the Staff members and F.Y.B.Ed. students.
The celebration started by welcoming everyone and the led the celebration by giving us a glimpse of the celebration of Navratri and explaining the nine avatars of Devi during Navratri and also made us underset and the importance of the nine different colours worn during Navratri. As a part of Navratri celebration a dance video i.e; Garba video was shown. The customs and traditions that are followed during Dusshera were also explained.
After the celebration of Dusshera, we continued with Diwali celebration by explaining the importance of Diyas, Rangolis, Laxmi Puja, Sweets. Before concluding the celebration, an important social message on celebrating Diwali with happiness and safety and not with crackers and pollution. The celebration was over with Diwali wishes and at the end a group picture of all the teachers and students was captured. In this way we ended up with the celebration with lots of zeal.
