Guru Nanak College organized an in-house online workshop on ‘Action Research’ on 5th February 2025 for S.Y.B.Ed. student-teachers and teacher educators. The resource person provided valuable insights into the concept and application of Action Research in educational settings.
The session began with simple, relatable questions about common classroom challenges. The facilitator emphasized the need to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse intelligence, capabilities, and needs of students. She highlighted the importance of well-prepared teachers, especially when students today have greater access to information through media and internet resources like Google.
The facilitator stressed the need to create a positive, engaging, and student-friendly classroom environment. She explained how Action Research can be a practical tool for addressing classroom challenges, enhancing teaching strategies, and improving student engagement. The session covered the process of conducting Action Research, including identifying issues, planning interventions, collecting data, and analyzing results to implement effective solutions.
