Every year 1st May is observed as Maharashtra Day to commemorate the creation of the predominantly Marathi-speaking state of Maharashtra with the enactment of the Bombay Reorganisation Act in 1960. Guru Nanak College of Education and Research celebrated this day with great enthusiasm. The event was attended by the Principal Incharge Aradhna Gokhale and other teaching and non-teaching staff of the college.
