Gurunanak College of Education and Research (GNCER)
was established in 1990 and is affiliated to the Mumbai University.
The environment here is challenging yet supportive with lots of growth opportunities for the students coming from diverse backgrounds. Various remedial programs and counseling services are provided to cater to the special needs and problems of students. The College is known for its stimulating, resourceful and collaborative environment in the class and on campus. The college happens to be among the few unaided teacher training institutions, to be awarded ‘A’ grade by the NCTE. This was mainly due to the high functional ethos, the work culture and the quality of the curricular and co- curricular programmes that served to develop the overall personality of the student teachers rather than just academic aspects. It has been accredited with B++ grade by NAAC in 2005.
